The 'thunk, thunk' of your axes bedding into the ice, and the beauty of the mountains in winter is hard to beat... Local venues include the Argentiere basin, Chatelard, Trient and of course the Mont Blanc massif. The world class venues of Kandersteg (Switzerland) and Cogne (Italy) are also within easy reach. Adventure Base and Dream Guides work together to offer ice courses for all abilities. Our weekend trips are ideal for everyone - including total beginners. Week long courses are aimed at existing climbers looking to progress their skills, or as training for climbing expeditions.
