Last year Adventure Base was pleased to introduce the beautiful Chalet Les Lanchettes in Morzine in the Portes du Soleil ski area. This was our first ski chalet in this area but having skied Morzine, Avoriaz and Les Gets many times we understand its popularity amongst novice skiers, families and advanced skiers alike. The success of Chalet Les Lanchettes over the 2011/12 winter season is something we are very proud of; so much so that Adventure Base is expanding! We're excited and rather pleased to announce that we will be operating another 3 catered/self-catered ski chalets in Morzine for the upcoming 2012-13 winter season.

So why go to Morzine? Well…

The town

Morzine is the largest town in the Portes du Soleil ski area and one of the leading ski destinations in Europe. Just a 1-hour transfer from Geneva Airport and you're in the busy town centre brimming with shops, bars, restaurants and cafes but still with that traditional Savoyard atmosphere. The Skiing

Being one of the largest linked ski areas in the world the Portes du Soleil boasts around 650km of pisted ski slopes. In the Morzine / Les Gets area the Pleney Plateau caters for the less experienced skier, which has led to the resort being especially popular with families, however there's no shortage of more demanding pistes up at Avoriaz via the Prodains lift. Our new chalets

With our new properties Adventure Base can offer both catered and self-catered ski chalet holidays, allowing you to enjoy the snow and scenery in this beautiful mountain town setting.

Chalet Le Petit Balcon is the smaller of our 2 ski chalet-apartments and sleeps up to 10 people. At the foot of the Nyon lift it's in a perfect ski-in / lift-out location and is just a 15 minute walk, or short free-bus ride, into Morzine town centre.

Chalet La Galerie is the larger of our ski chalet-apartments and sleeps up to 12 people. Situated in the same building as the Chalet Petit Balcon it is set over two floors with a double height dining area, two lounges and a modern well-appointed kitchen.

Both these ski chalet-apartments have spacious south facing balconies (a great spot to enjoy the sunshine) and are available on a fully catered or self-catered basis.

Chalet La Cordee is a beautifully renovated stand alone chalet set on the gentle slopes above Morzine town. Just a 10 minute walk from the restaurants, shops and bars this higher-end ski chalet sleeps up to 14 people and is available on a fully catered basis. Relax in the newly installed hot tub or sauna and enjoy wonderful views over the town and valley.
